Hoythouse is a premier design and build studio serving the Lawrence and Kansas City Metro area.
Our expertise includes full primary bath remodels, kitchen renovations with custom cabinetry design and installation, as well as the design and build of decks and screened-in porches. We also take on general carpentry tasks that require a more refined touch. At Hoythouse, our commitment to precision and exceptional craftsmanship is evident in every project we undertake.

Daniel
After graduating from KU Architecture in 2009, he found his way back to the construction/ design world about a year later. Having worked at three various construction/ design build firms over the course of ten years after school, it was time to test the waters for starting his own construction business. Hoythouse stems from the desire of having intentional details that are executed with an absolute precision. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his beautiful wife, trying to keep up with his two young boys, and going out for an early morning run.
Finley
Finley joined Hoythouse in January 2022. Although relatively new in residential construction, he quickly set out to soak in as much as possible. Either building cabinets, setting up and laying out a new kitchen, or working on tedious framing, he has an eye for details and has the means and methods to complete the job. Outside of work Finley enjoys a good bike ride and quality time with his family.
